I know student athletes in college get a bad rep sometimes for being cocky and over dramatic, but in reality they really do have to work hard to maintain grades and train hard to be successful in their sport. I know because my boyfriend is a Division 1 rugby player. He was recruited to play for the University of Davenport up in Caledonia, Michigan. Go Panthers! Okay, I mean I have known that rugby is a sport and that it is more popular in Australia and Europe than it is in America.
But I have to be honest, I know not one single thing about how rugby is played. I always thought it was pretty similar to American football, but boy was I totally wrong when I said that to my boyfriend when he had asked what I knew about it. The best way he could describe it to me in simple terms and compare it to sports I do know is saying that it is kind of like soccer and football mixed together.
